Crazy Taxi

The original Crazy Taxi from Sega's internal team Hitmaker was released in arcades in 1999, and it was subsequently ported to Sega's Dreamcast video game console in 2000. Both versions of the game were simple, fun racing games that let you play as a cabbie in search of fares to transport to their destinations as quickly as possible, performing as many dangerous stunts (like narrowly scraping past oncoming cars) as possible to earn extra tips from your impatient, thrill-seeking passengers. Hitmaker went on to create two console follow-ups, the most recent of which is Crazy Taxi 3 for the Xbox. Yet, for some reason, the very first Crazy Taxi game has just now been ported to the PC, but considering how the port turned out, it probably shouldn't have been.

Eragon

Eragon is a third-person video game released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows, developed by Stormfront Studios. Also released are unique versions of Eragon for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, and mobile phone handheld gaming systems, primarily developed by Amaze Entertainment.

The game is based upon the recent Eragon film, which is in turn based on the book Eragon, by Christopher Paolini. The games were released on November 14th 2006 in the United States of America, on November 24th 2006 in the European Union and on November 23rd 2006 in Australia in order to coincide with the release of the aforementioned film. As the Maverick Hunters assist in the recovery operation, a young Reploid scientist, Gate, discovers a mysterious chip in the wastelands. He immediately sets out on a cause to discover the mysterious "Nightmare Virus", and sends 8 assistants out to search for answers. But when Gate's assistants suddenly vanish, the worst is feared: they've gone Maverick.

X is the only one now who can discover the answers needed to unravel the mystery of this deadly "Nightmare Virus", and perhaps find out what it is exactly Gate wants with it.

There's nothing like an RPG to pass the time. :D (It's worth mentioning that this game got a 90% from PC Gamer, which means an Editor's Choice award).

Two of the mainstays of RPGs have always been plot atmosphere -- and Arcanum isn't lacking in either of these; the story is rich and complex, and the stylish steampunk ambiance is one that's only been used in a handful of games prior. While this is the land of the fantasy-standard Elves, Dwarves, and Halflings, it's set against a fictional 19th century backdrop, complete with the Victorian vogue architecture, and fashion that you would expect from that time period. As you hopefully already know from our extensive preview, the struggle between technology and "magick" play out quite often in Arcanum, and it's this dichotomy that's the crux of the game.
